Get to know me better
Born and raised in Seychelles, I have always had a passion for arts – of all forms. My interest in photography grew while I started my journalism course in Russia. In short, with the baggage I gathered in the class followed in 2009, I started shooting anything and everything. As a result, I kept on learning more each and every day.
Fast forward to today, when asked what kind of photographer I am, the answer is more or less the same every time – “I shoot several genres.” This includes portraits, weddings, maternity, newborn, landscape, products among others. It is capturing life stories and moments that matter the most. This does not apply only to me but to those to whom they mean the most.
We already live in a concrete jungle and for this reason, most of my shoots are done in the outdoors, with little to no wall in sight. Consequently, shooting outside allows my client and me to reconnect with nature and the beauty in our surrounding environment. Furthermore, let us not forget about Seychelles being known for its exquisite, unique, and diverse natural beauty, from its white sandy beaches to its lush flora.
Photography aside, I have a weakness for nature, especially the beach, and the sea. For this reason, I’m pretty sure that I was a mermaid in my past life. Where the sea meets land is the place that, to me, brings the most peace. As such, it is not a surprise that it is the backdrop to most of my photographs.
